I still have half a case of Tumbler. But tonight it will be Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey.

Man, am totally jealous. Maybe one day I’ll find some.

It was a gift from a friend of mine for my first bachelor party (he threw me one independent of my groomsmen because he felt it was necessary). He actually brought it to the US from the distillery in Ireland. He lived a block from me over the summer, but he left on Thursday to move back to Dublin.

He’s a great friend. He keeps his Vespa in the US, but in the chaos that goes along with international moves (with six kids), he forgot to make arrangements to hold his Vespa. I had to walk over to his house to pick it up. It was dark, and it took me almost an hour to start the thing. He stored it with the kill-switch engaged (good metalcore band, BTW). I fumbled around in the dark to remove the cover, disabled the kill-switch, and tried to use the kick-starter. After making an ass of myself for a while, I looked up his exact model on Google, and found a note about how it has an electric starter. Sure enough, right under the disabled kill switch, I found a start button.

Now there’s a Vespa in my carport next to my FJR. Sometime next week I expect a call from someone taking it to storage.
